Coffee & Hospitality 741 store visits at a 3.2x return
A neighborhood coffee shop does not need clicks, it needs people walking in. We built the account around Google store-visit optimization, pointed Performance Max and Search at the blocks that can actually reach the shop, and tracked the one number that matters: how many people showed up. Over three months, 741 did, at $4.62 each against a $15 average ticket.
Coffee is a habit business. The win is not a flood of website clicks, it is becoming the place people nearby think of first and keep coming back to. Colombian Coffee House needed real foot traffic from the blocks around them, not visits from people who were never going to walk in, and they needed it on a budget a local cafe can actually sustain month after month.
- Built the account around Google store-visit optimization, so campaigns bid for people likely to physically walk in rather than people likely to click.
- Ran Performance Max as the primary engine across Search, Maps, YouTube, and Display, targeted tightly to the neighborhoods that can realistically reach the shop.
- Added a Search campaign for high-intent local queries, plus a brand campaign to hold their own name cheaply instead of paying for it later.
- Built seasonal campaigns around what the shop was actually promoting, including a dedicated brunch push in July.
- Treated cost per store visit as the primary number every month, moving budget toward whatever was bringing people through the door cheapest.
Across May, June, and July 2026 the account produced 741 store visits from $3,426 in ad spend, an average of $4.62 to put a person inside the shop. Against the $15 average ticket the owners gave us, that is roughly $11,100 through the door, about a 3.2x return. The month-by-month view shows where it came from: June was the standout at 296 visits and a 4.3x return, while July ran hotter on spend as the brunch campaign ramped up. The campaigns also put the cafe in front of the surrounding neighborhood 312,166 times, which for a habit business is the other half of the job: being the place people picture when they want coffee. And because coffee is a repeat purchase, the first visit is the expensive one. Every one after it is free.
